Discipline, Ethics & Professional Behaviour

The Code of Conduct of Shardabai Pawar Arts, Commerce & Science College outlines expectations for students, teaching staff and non-teaching staff. These guidelines aim to foster responsibility, discipline, ethical conduct and a conducive environment for academic excellence, research and holistic development.

Code of Conduct for Students

  • Maintain regular attendance, punctuality and discipline in all academic activities.
  • Show respect towards teachers, staff, fellow students and visitors at all times.
  • Refrain from ragging, bullying, harassment or any activity prohibited under law and institutional rules.
  • Use mobile phones and electronic gadgets only in permitted areas, not during lectures, practicals or in the library.
  • Protect college property and help maintain cleanliness of classrooms, laboratories and the campus.
  • Wear the prescribed dress code (if applicable) and carry the college identity card on campus.
  • Adhere strictly to examination rules, anti-malpractice guidelines and academic integrity norms.

Code of Conduct for Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff

  • Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, academic integrity and punctuality.
  • Treat all students fairly, without discrimination on the basis of caste, religion, language, region or economic status.
  • Prepare thoroughly for classes, complete syllabi in time and conduct transparent, unbiased evaluation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records, examination material and sensitive institutional information.
  • Use decent and respectful language in all interactions; any form of harassment or abusive behaviour is strictly prohibited.
  • Participate actively in research, extension activities, mentoring and institutional development initiatives.
  • Abide by the rules, regulations and service conditions laid down by the management, university and regulatory bodies.

General Institutional Code

  • Everyone on campus must contribute to a safe, inclusive and respectful environment.
  • Consumption of alcohol, tobacco, drugs and any illegal activity on campus is strictly prohibited.
  • Use of college name, logo or infrastructure for unauthorised activities is not permitted.
  • Environmental consciousness, energy conservation and waste management are shared responsibilities of all.
  • Any violation of the Code of Conduct may invite disciplinary action as per institutional and statutory norms.
