The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of the college plays a vital role in shaping students into responsible, disciplined and patriotic citizens. Through systematic training, camps and certification programmes, NCC prepares cadets for careers in the Army, Navy and Air Force, as well as for leadership roles in civil society.
The college NCC unit admits a limited number of committed and deserving students every year and provides them with opportunities to participate in drills, parades, adventure activities, social service programmes and prestigious national-level camps .
NCC training in the college is designed to inculcate a strong sense of duty and commitment towards the nation. Cadets are encouraged to practice discipline in every sphere of life and to develop the confidence required to lead from the front.
These virtues collectively help students to build their all-round personality and prepare them to shoulder responsibilities in defence services, public life and various professional fields.
Through systematic parade training and participation in different camps, cadets become eligible to appear for NCC ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate examinations, which carry significant weightage in defence and other competitive selections.
Participation in these activities enhances leadership abilities, team spirit and endurance. NCC ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate holders get preference in recruitment to the Army, Navy and Air Force as officers and also benefit in various government and competitive examinations.
