Grooming Youth for Leadership & Nation Building

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of the college plays a vital role in shaping students into responsible, disciplined and patriotic citizens. Through systematic training, camps and certification programmes, NCC prepares cadets for careers in the Army, Navy and Air Force, as well as for leadership roles in civil society.

The college NCC unit admits a limited number of committed and deserving students every year and provides them with opportunities to participate in drills, parades, adventure activities, social service programmes and prestigious national-level camps .

NCC at a Glance

  • Intake Capacity: 30 students per year
  • Training for NCC ‘B’ & ‘C’ Certificate examinations
  • 20–30 cadets selected every year for the college NCC unit
  • Grace Marks: NCC cadets receive 5 grace marks in degree examinations
  • Preference for defence services (Army, Navy, Air Force) for ‘B’ / ‘C’ certificate holders

  • Courage, morality and integrity in personal conduct
  • Self-discipline, punctuality and respect for rules
  • Secularism and respect for cultural diversity
  • Balanced development of body, mind and character

These virtues collectively help students to build their all-round personality and prepare them to shoulder responsibilities in defence services, public life and various professional fields.
