Transparency, Accountability & Citizen's Right to Information

Shardabai Pawar Arts, Commerce & Science College upholds the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005 and is committed to ensuring transparency, accountability and openness in its functioning. The RTI framework enables citizens to seek information regarding the activities, decisions and utilisation of public funds related to the institution.

The college has designated officers as per the RTI Act, to receive, process and respond to RTI applications in a time-bound and fair manner. Stakeholders may submit their requests in writing to the Public Information Officer, with the prescribed fee, as per government norms.

Objectives of RTI Implementation

  • To promote transparency and accountability in the functioning of the institution.
  • To provide citizens with access to information relating to academic, administrative and financial matters.
  • To strengthen stakeholder confidence and trust in institutional governance.
  • To ensure compliance with the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

Scope of Information under RTI

  • Information related to institutional structure, governance and committees.
  • Details of programmes, admissions, fee structures and scholarships.
  • Information regarding budgets, grants and utilisation of public funds.
  • Policies, rules and regulations governing staff and students.
  • Any other information which can be disclosed under the RTI Act, subject to exemptions under the law.
